MEGHAN RHODE | ASSATEAGUE STATE PARK
MEGHAN RHODE has worked for over 20 years in parks. She began at Pocomoke River State Park and later as an Assateague State Park Ranger, a role she had for 13 years. She is currently the Assistant Park Manager of Assateague State Park, Maryland Park Service.

DR. MADHUMI MITRA | UNIVERSITY OF MD EASTERN SHORE
DR. MADHUMI MITRA is a tenured Professor of Biological and Environmental Sciences at the
University of Maryland Eastern Shore and holds a Ph.D in Botany from North Carolina State University. Her research of seaweeds and other marine resources spans 25+ years and includes micro and macroalgae ecology; seaweeds in human health and nutrition; biomonitoring and biosorption, potential of seaweeds and seagrasses; biodiesel from algae; water quality; and reconstruction of the past environment and climate from microfossils.
